It's woven into an extremely corrosion resistant wire mesh material. Therefore <STRONG>monel mesh</STRONG> is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Monel K500 mesh has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength when compared with alloy 400. When in the age-hardened condition, monel K500 mesh has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking than monel 400 alloy mesh. It's also resistant to a sour-gas environment.<BR><BR><STRONG>Features</STRONG>:<BR>* Corrosion resistance and strength <BR>* Marine and chemical environments<BR>* Resists salt and fresh water<BR><BR><STRONG>How to Choosing a Monel Mesh Size </STRONG>? <BR>For someone unfamiliar with wire mesh terminology,&nbsp;two mesh has two wires in each direction in a square inch. You could easily pass a pencil through the openings. 16 mesh is what is used in a window or porch screens to keep out common insects. 60 mesh is the size commonly used in kitchen faucets. An 80 mesh has an opening which will barely pass a human hair. A piece of paper is about three thousandths (.003) of an inch. <BR><BR><STRONG>Cutting</STRONG> <BR>Monel mesh cut easily with good quality hand tools. The heavy meshes from 2 mesh through 50 mesh is best cut with aircraft style shears or tin snips.
