It was found to be highly resistant to atmospheric corrosion, salt water, and various acid and alkaline solutions. Monel wire can be magnetic depending upon composition and previous work history. Monel alloy wire has also added aluminum and titanium for age hardening. It is totally nonmagnetic and spark resistant.
