Nickel chromium alloy 80/20: an ideal material, because it has relatively high resistance and forms an adherent layer of chromium oxide when it is heated for the first time. Material beneath the wire will not oxidize, preventing the wire from breaking or burning out. So it is good for anti-corrosion and high resistant co-efficiency. So it is applicable for heat treatment, air-carbon furnace, chemical industry, machinery, metallurgy. The wire is commonly used in ceramics as an internal support structure.
Nickel-chromium wire mesh (80% nickel/ 20%chromium): This kind of mesh is weaved with nickel-chromium wire, and mainly in alloy 80/20. It is very suitable to be used in electronic parts and components industry as the electronic components’ carrier in the baking procedure. It is also widely used in chemical industry.
Nickel-Chrome 60: as resistance wire, it is an accepted material for heating devices operating up to 1000 centigrade (1850F). This encompasses most pluggable power cord domestic heating appliances and those heating units of medium temperatures which do not require the unsurpassed quality of NI/CR-80/20, the 80-20 alloy.
